Detect brain differences in people at risk of Alzheimers disease with PET

With imaging techniques, researchers at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) clear differences in brain function between healthy people who carry a genetic risk factor for Alzheimers disease and those who have found, not the factor. Because the researchers believe that Alzheimers begins to change the brain years before symptoms occur, the disease can more easily accessible to treatment in these pre-clinical stages.
