Deaf children receive cochlear implants earlier in life

According to a new report, deaf children who will benefit most from cochlear implants if they are received early in the life of the child. This new study was led by Amy McConkey Robbins and his team, Communication Consulting Services, Indianapolis, USA. They compared the communication skills of 107 children who had hearing problems. All children who received cochlear implants.Were 109 children who had hearing problems compared. The evaluation was conducted by asking the parents a questionnaire.

On the other hand, children who received their implants later fell behind the children with normal hearing. In another study, conducted at the University of Athens, Greece, Dr. Thomas P.
